Lake House Vacation June 2010

We rented a lake house on Lake Travis in the Texas Hill Country.
Anne and Jack brought some friends.
Annie, MaryClaire, and Hannah

Chris ("Big Red"), Tyler ("Sunny D"), Jack,
Andrew ("Linerbaker"), and Jeremy ("lil' JR")

The boys stayed out in the dock house and
the girls stayed in the big house with us.

The boys loved the dock house because they could wake up in the morning
and fish right outside their door.

We spent most of our time in the lake, swimming, boating, tubing,
and jumping off the dock house.

The girls and I took a trip to an animal safari one day.
The guys went to Austin to see thousands of bats fly out from a bridge at dusk. It was quite a popular attraction!
When we weren't on the water we were making s'mores, watching movies,
playing games or eating! I managed to find lots of time to read....such a treat.

We even had a family of ducks to feed.

It was a great trip with a great bunch of kids!

End of the School Year Party June 2010

Anne invited some of her friends from her class to a pool party on the last day of school.

Some of Jack's friends were around to lifeguard and help out. (I think they had as much fun playing as the younger ones!)

All the kids were so amazing. They were always busy doing something and got along great with eachother. It was so much fun!

School's Out for Summer! Senior Year Here We Come! June 2010

...and more dancing!

Road Trip to Norman, OK May 2010

Emily is moving to Norman OK for the summer. She is working as a Nanny and taking summer school. We had to move some furniture up there for her so we loaded up Jack's pickup truck decided to make it a road trip. Anne brought her friend Leah along for the ride.
About an hour into the ride, Em's car died. Luckily there was a repair shop nearby. We had to move things out of her car then drive back to the Woodlands to get mine. Loaded that up then headed out again.
Once in Norman, we moved Emily into her apartment. It was soooo cute!

We had to show Leah the highlights of OU. We shopped at Campus Corner, toured the campus, and had a Sprittle (Sprite and Skittles) at Classic 50's.
The girls had a blast at the pool and riding the 12 story elevator at the hotel.

On the drive home we stopped at the famous Fried Pies shop. It was featured on the Food Network!
Another pit stop at Braums for the amazing Limeade, made with fresh limes.
And of course, no road trip is complete without a stop at Buccee's!
